DAY 1: Casablanca
L-D

Welcome to Morocco! Today you arrive in Casablanca and meet your guides at Mohammed V International Airport. After collecting baggage and introductions, you’ll be given a short driving tour of the city to get you acquainted with your surroundings before turning in for the night.

DAY 2: Casablanca - Rabat
B-D

Begin in Casablanca with a visit to the Great Mosque of Hassan II, where you can also view the el Hank Lighthouse in the distance. This visit is followed by a welcome lunch in the city’s historic downtown. After lunch, depart Casablanca for nearby Rabat, Morocco’s modern capital. Depending on your comfort, your evening plans may include a visit to the Kasbah of the Oudayas, one of the ancient sites in Rabat.

DAY 3: Rabat - Volubilis/Moulay Idriss - Meknes - Fes
B-D

Depart Rabat in the morning and travel to the holy town of Moulay Idriss. This town houses the shrine of the grandson of the prophet Mohamed, after whom the town is named. From Moulay Idriss, it’s a short jaunt to the famous ruins of Volubulis, a well-preserved Roman city. With an expert guide, you walk the centuries old streets of Volubulis for a first-hand view of the intricate mosaics and carvings for which the site is renowned. In the afternoon, it’s off to visit one of Morocco’s ancient Imperial Cities, Meknes. In this city, once the capital of Moulay Ismael’s 18th Century empire, visit the infamous sultan’s mausoleum and the ruins of his capital, once hailed as the Versailles of Morocco. End your day by traveling the short distance to Fes.

DAY 4: Fes
B-D

Spend a full day here to explore the oldest of Morocco’s Imperial Cities. Fes is very much a medieval city, little changed despite the passage of several hundred years. Your walking tour starts after breakfast at the beautiful Bab Boujloud, following a guide into the heart of the medina. There, you have the opportunity to visit historical and cultural sites, as well as observe artisans as they masterfully create their wares. End at the tombs of the Merinid Kings, which overlook the city. Your evening meal is in a beautifully restored, 19th century palace restaurant, Al Fassia.

DAY 5: Fes - Azrou - Beni Mellal - Marrakech
B-D

Today is a day of travel. Leave Fes in the morning and travel through the cedar wood forests of Azrou, where you discover tribes of Barbary Apes, or macaque monkeys. From Azrou, continue onward through Khenifra and to the crossroads city of Beni Mellal. After lunch and a chance for refreshment, continue to Marrakech, Morocco’s Pearl of the South. Your accommodations here are only a few minutes from the magic ambiance of Djemaa el-Fna, the center plaza of Marrakech medina.

DAY 6: Marrakech
B-D

Founded in 1066, Marrakech is another of Morocco’s Imperial Cities, and you will find that it has a much different ambiance than Fes as you explore it on a guided walking tour of its souks and monuments. Your visits include the Koutoubia Mosque, artistically beautiful Bahia Palace, the ruins of the Baadi Palace with giant stork nests amidst its crenelated battlements and the once hidden Tombs of the Saadian Kings. Other visits include the Ali Ben Youssef Madrasa or Koranic school, the Museum of Marrakech and many of the souks were workers and craftsmen produce artisan goods in leather, metal and wood. After your tour of the medina, you have time to relax on your own or explore independently.

DAY 7: Marrakech
B

Enjoy a day of relaxation and exploration on your own! Perhaps you will spend time pleasantly wandering the winding streets of the medina, or sipping mint tea at a café. Maybe you will choose to visit the beautiful botanical gardens Les Jardins d’Majorelle, or the Menara Gardens with its great reflecting pool and the majestic snowcapped Atlas Mountains on the distant horizon. Your evening meal is at the historic restaurant Dar Essalam, where portions of Alfred Hitchcock’s film, The Man Who Knew Too Much, were filmed. An after dinner horse drawn caleche ride gives you a peaceful tour of Marrakech’s ramparts.

DAY 8: Marrakech - Casablanca
B

Your adventure draws to a close! Today you depart from Marrkech to arrive and check-in for your onward flights from Casablanca.
