Depart for Rabat, Morocco’s second largest city, political capital, and home to the royal family.  Explore its medina and the sprawling Kasbah of the Oudayas before turning in for the night.  The next day, experience Morocco’s commercial capital, Casablanca, including a visit to the second largest mosque in the world, the Hassan II mosque.  The next morning, set out along the coast and visit the underground cisterns of El Jadida, the lagoons and delicious oysters of Oualidia, and the town of Safi, where some of the best ceramics in Morocco are produced.  Journey to Essaouira for the night, and spend the next day exploring this peaceful seaside town full of Spanish and Portuguese influence.  Home to some of the best beaches in Morocco, it is easy to see why Essaouira has played host to so many surfing and windsurfing enthusiasts.  The next day, spend a leisurely morning in Essaouira before making your way back to Marrakech.
