Start out from Fes and head to the town of Ouezzin, famous for its Berber carpets, before stopping in the peaceful town of Chefchaouen. Explore the 15th-century restored Kasbah and the charming medina before spending the night. Spend the next day leisurely hiking through the cedar forests of the area, exploring the local flora and fauna, before once again spending the night in Chefchaouen. The next day, journey to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, and then to the former Imperial city of Meknes, where marble and other materials were pilfered from Volubilis to create the Bab Mansour gate. Arise in the morning and head to the Berber town of Azrou, traveling through the cedar forests that surround it, before heading to Ifrane. A town with a distinctly European feel, Ifrane is home to some of the best skiing in the country, and acts as your last stop before heading back to Fes.
