Wind your way through Morocco’s highest mountain road, the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, before arriving at Telouet, a major stop along the ancient trade routes. Next, journey to the impressively well-preserved fortress of Ait ben Haddou for the night. The next day, head to Bou Therar, a mountain village, before heading to the red and ochre houses that comprise the village of Boumaine Dades. The following morning, drive through the base of the Todra Gorge, 1,000-foot high cliffs rising up on either side of you, as you make your way to the desert. Here, explore the dunes of Merzouga on camelback, and you may opt to spend the night in a Bedouin tent in the sands of the Sahara. The next morning, we travel through the great crossroads of the south, Ouarzazate, before arriving back in Marrakech.
