Begin at the port city of Tangiers and make your way down the Atlantic coast to Asilah before stopping in Rabat, home of the Oudaya Kasbah.  The next day, it is a short jaunt to Casablanca, Morocco’s most populous city and site of the second largest mosque in the world, the Hassan II Mosque.  From there, travel to the Imperial City of Meknes and explore its medina and beautiful main gate, Bab Mansour.  Aftereward, it is a stone’s throw to the ruins of the Roman outpost of Volubilis, and then onto Fes.  Spend a full day in Fes, the artistic and intellectual capital of Morocco, visiting the craftsmen’s souks and many historical spots, like the Kaourayine University and the Tombs of the Merenids.  After Fes, continue through the Atlas Mountains to the Berber village of Azrou, famed for the wandering tribes of macaque monkeys that inhabit the region.  Pass through the skiing town of Ifrane, basking in its European ambiance, before heading back to Fes overnight.  The next morning. head to the tranquil mountain town of Chefchaouen, where the spring that nourishes the valley bursts forth from the mountain, and a renovated 15th century Kasbah still stands.  Your adventure finishes as you travel back to Tangiers.
